Stonewood Equestrian is a stunning facility settled on a spectacular property in Pickering, Ontario. It runs a riding academy specializing in developing Hunter/Jumper and Equitation riders as well as a show team which compete primarily at the Trillium level.

We are currently seeking an outstanding Barn Manager/Program Director to join our team as our current Manager seeks time with her family and furthering her education.

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
- Organizing the riding school schedule, managing new clients coming in, lessons being cancelled, scheduled, missed etc.

- Hiring, training and over sight of all the barn staff and operations

- Working with our veterinarians, blacksmiths and other professionals to ensure the best possible horse care

- Growing and maintaining client relationships and communication

- Arranging clinics, in house shows, camps and other learning and training opportunities

- Managing supplies orders, and operating expenses of the farm with our bookkeeper and accountant

- Working with the bookkeeper and accountant on invoicing and bill payment

- Working with the barn staff and nutritionist on horse feed programs

- Processing horse show entries

- Assisting in sourcing horses for both the riding school and show program

- Assisting in posting and managing ads for sales horses

- Assessing lameness and injury management

- Working with maintenance person on farm condition and repairs

- Driving truck and trailer is a bonus but not a requirement

- Ability to administer medications IM and IV or willing to learn how to administer
