EquiMania! rides into THEMUSEUMJune 2011
After a month into hosting the hit summer exhibition, Animal Grossology, which disguises science through ‘gross’ interactive games and activities related to the animal and insect kingdoms, THEMUSEUM jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with Equine Guelph to add a complementary show that discusses one animal in depth. EquiMania! features several interactive components that teach anatomy and biology of horses with scale models and real bones. It also teaches and promotes caring for horses with stations including: how to wrap horse legs, braid their tails and what tools are used for grooming. Gayle Ecker, Director of Equine Guelph, says, "We are delighted to be partnering with THEMUSEUM to bring the magic of horses to Kitchener. Horse enthusiasts of all ages will find interesting and interactive learning opportunities. It's about fun!"
EquiMania! has toured across Canada and has been featured at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for the past five years. EquiMania! is now open at THEMUSEUM until August 2nd. Animal Grossology will be on display through Labour day. Visit www.THEMUSEUM.ca |
