Guelph, ON — EquiMania! is into the terrific teens making its 13th appearance at the Can-Am Equine Expo in Markham, ON, April 6 – 8. Hop in the entrance across the new hopscotch game encouraging kids to Stop, Think and Act, making good choices when it comes to safety around the farm. Kids will receive a stamp, in an exercise book, for hopping to the right answers and they can continue to test their knowledge online with more Stop, Think, Act activities at TheHorsePortal.ca, earning a printable certificate.“Learning about safety, horse care and welfare is always interactive and engaging when you visit EquiMania!” says president, Ross Millar. “It’s a continuing partnership that makes good horse sense.”
Equine Guelph, partnered with Ontario Equestrian will be promoting 'Ticket to Ride,' a hugely popular program for those just starting to learn about horses. It offers youth an opportunity for a FREE introductory riding lesson (or introduction to horses) at participating OE member riding facilities. Visit EquiMania! and then the OE booth for details.
An Art Auction, with proceeds donated to Equine Guelph, will be held during the Saturday evening performance where members of the Heartland cast will also be featured. Four artists: Ann Clifford, Shawn Hamilton, Nola McConnan and Kelly Plitz are each donating an original piece. Visit all the artists before the show to check out their collections.
Get in touch with all sorts of hands-on activities that making learning so much fun like: tails you can braid, legs you can wrap, a fire safety wheel to spin and so much more. EquiManiacs know there is always more to learn in the world of horses and no one leaves this award-winning display without learning something new about horses and their care.
